I Will Forever Remember A Smile

No matter the generation, there will always be a special place in the hearts of baseball fans for the players who show enthusiasm and love for the game. Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett, who died yesterday following a stroke, was one of those players. He was pudgy back when pudgy was still cool in baseball (in the days of Tony Gwynn and Terry Pendleton). He brought two World Championships to Minnesota Twins fans and many great baseball moments to all baseball fans. Twice, Puckett was cut short in life – first with a career ending eye condition, and now by his early death. At least we can find solace in the fact that his memories will live on in baseball highlight reels and a plaque in Cooperstown, NY. Thanks for your contagious enthusiasm, Kirby. Thanks for the memories.
